Marqués de Murrieta and Pazo de Barrantes have subscribed the Sustainability Decalogue for the Food Industry awarded by the Spanish Agriculture Ministry, which implies the observation of the stipulated principles in it, and the commitment to improve the sustainability in a proactive manner and the continuous enhancement of all the economic, social and environmental aspects in their business activity.
The Decalogue implies the commitment to increase the sustainability criteria relative to the supply chain, promoting local economy and the management of the environmental footprint in terms of greenhouse gases and water reduction and also the obligation of the establishment of energy efficiency measures in all the production processes, renewable energies and the use of alternative energy sources.
Regarding Biodiversity, Marqués de Murrieta and Pazo de Barrantes have the commitment to preserve natural resources, the environment, and the biodiversity management as well. We have introduced environmental criteria in the packaging, aimed to minimize the impact on nature and the waste reduction, and we have applied all the new technologies in a compatible manner with a more sustainable and efficient economy.
